Song of the Week: Brandy Alexander. (Feist).

Absolutely divine song from the best album of 2007 so far, The Reminder.

Though I'd like to be the girl for him and cross the sea and land for him,
In milky skin my tongue is sand until the iridescent band begins to play,

He's my Brandy Alexander
Always gets me into trouble
But that's another matter
Brandy Alexander
He's my Brandy Alexander
Always gets me into trouble
But that's another matter
Brandy Alexander

Though I know what I love most of him, I'm walking on needles and pins
My addiction to the worst of him
The low moon helps me sing,

I'm his Brandy Alexander
Always get him into trouble
I hide that I am flattered
Brandy Alexander
I'm his Brandy Alexander
Always get him into trouble
I hide that I am flattered
Brandy Alexander

It goes down easy (easy)

Brandy Alexander

I love The Reminder, it's a lovely album. Have you read the book Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk? It's were Feist got the name Brandy Alexander.

Oh, wow. I never connected those two, even though I've read Invisible Monsters a few times.

Feist is wonderful. I saw her in a really small venue a couple of months ago, it was amazing.

I promise you your Picture, Director, Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress predictions are wrong. Not so sure about your Actress and Screenplay winners. But the others... no.

I love Feist too!
Just a random stab-in-the-dark question - are you Huan Huan? If so, email me! If not, ignore me.
Got to say, I love your blog.
