01. University. Discuss. 02. What do you think is the funniest TV programme? 03. What is the most beautiful song you’ve ever heard? 04. What’s the crappest holiday you’ve ever been on? 05. Carrie, Samantha, Miranda or Charlotte? [Sex & the City girls].
01. A great place to go to broaden your horizons, expand your mind, and learn to be properly independent of your family (unless you're one of those sad cases who go home every weekend to have mum do the laundry). Your actual degree will be essentially worthless right after your first post-university place of employment, however, in the same way that nobody cares what GCSEs you have after you have A-Levels.
02. There are no funny TV programmes any more. Not since Cheers.
03. Dunno. Something classical.
04. I took a week off work a couple of years ago which coincided with the wettest week in that region of the country since the '80s. The only thing on at the cinema was The Da Vinci Code.
05. I don't understand the question. Is it which one we want to explode first?
I loooooooove that picture!!!! where is it from???
1. ugh. a thing of great stress...and I haven't even started applying yet.
2. Mock the Week is hilarious...but if we're going for fiction - friends, first few seasons of scrubs, jeeves and wooster.
3. the breaking of the fellowship from the lotr soundtrack is heartbreakingly beautiful. Other than that...blue eyes by cary brothers...let go by frou frou...that sort of thing. I'll be there for you is also very beautiful to me...because it reminds me of the power of friendship :) oooh, and the hill, from once.
4. this holiday in italy - venice was gorgeous, but otherwise...none of my family could stand the heat, and it was completely deserted and we had no car...and we had to walk through a million fields to get to anywhere of interest.
1. The start of a whole new bit of your life, a new mature you and lots of studying and independance. I can't wait! (Emma, we shall need to stay in contact lots throughout the movement to uni, if only so you can help keep me sane!) 2. Currently showing or ever? Well, right now Mock the Week is up there, but I prefer QI. Whose Line is it Anyway is also one of the best, and Stella Street is highly underrated. The first 10 series of The Simpsons are unbeatable though. 3. Ohh tough choice. Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright, Winter by Vivaldi, Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros, The Village soundtrack, The Dunkirk bit from Atonement soundtrack... 4. Haggerston Castle in Berwick. It was a rip off, my sister had a broken arm, we were in the middle of nowhere and there was nothing but gambling machines. 5. Samantha. Sure, she's a slag but she knows what she wants, she goes after it and doesn't care about how she is perceived. Kim Cattral is excellent.
Hey Anahita, I pinched it from one of the photo communities on livejournal! :D
We'll definitely keep in contact, Kayleigh! Whether that be through lj, blog or the forums we visit, I'll definitely talk to you loads and we can exchange stories/woes.
1. University is a huge change but my first year at university has been the best year of my life and I can't wait for my 2nd year to begin. It's a time to make new friends, find out more about yourself and work out what you want to do and be in your life. 2. Either Gilmore Girls or Scrubs 3. Either Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley or Into Dust by Mazzy Star 4. A camping holiday me and my family went on when I was younger. It rained for the entire week and we had absolutely nothing to do 5. Probably Charlotte though sometimes Carrie
1. dece. easier than high school. very lax maths courses. love the bell curve. 2. uhhh.. 3. "white man in hammersmith palais" by the clash. hands down. 4. tie between annual family drive to saskatchewan [the most terrible, boring, cow-filled, un-holiday-like place in the universe] and last months venture into southern china during flood season with 53 asian students in $3CAD hotels... 5. i'd like to kill carrie first for the sake of sarah jessica parker's heinous TV commercials.
