Random Facebooking has has me come across a photo of a girl wearing a pair of loveheart-shaped sunglasses, which has brought back memories of Kubrick's Lolita, and those iconic shades worn by Sue Lyon in the film poster-
I don't actually remember her wearing those shades in the film, but whenever I see red love-shaped shades, I shall always think of the 1962 film'
the girl in that photo is really pretty. is she asian?
ReplyDeleteHave you been watching Dead Set on E4 Emz? One of the men in the Big Brother house on that show was wearing heart-shaped glasses lol
ReplyDelete@ Sina - yes she is!! I don't actually know her (so probably shouldn't be redistributing images of her online), but I spoke to her at a party on like the first day and she's half-Chinese. Very bunging purdy.
ReplyDelete@ Martin - I was supposed to watch it with my friend but we forgot; I can't watch it on my TV as I ain't got no TV liscence but if it's good (?) I'll download an episode.
I think it's amazing. And it's written by Charlie Brooker, if you need any more convincing.
ReplyDeletelolita *shudders* sicksicksicksicksick. but gorgeous glasses lol.
ReplyDeleteObviously Kubrick had restrictions because of the time he made the film in but I really prefer the second version of Lolita with Jeremy Irons! What a film...I love it!
ReplyDeletei bet you'd rock some red heart glasses.
ReplyDeleteBung! Charlie Brooker!
