A twelfth of the year has gone.

Isn’t it weird to think of things like that??

Anyway, I'd like just like to take the opportunity to remind you all of my favourite film of 2006:

... In case you didn't know already.

Come to think of it, I'd quite like to know your thoughts about Pan's.

It's the most beautiful film I've seen for a long time.

How can a film be described with such a strong word?

Nah, I gotta say, I agree. Factory_Girl is probably the most irritating IMDb user around.

Woah. Harsh words, guys.

I agree that Factory_Girl epitomizes irritation, but unless yer name's FunkyMonkeyTown, I refuse to allow usage of the c-word on my blog. Sorry. :P

Gee, thanks. ¬.¬

Can't believe they played James Blunt.

Anyway, would anyone like to actually talk about Pan's Labyrinth??!!

oh, ok then

pan's labyrinth was one of the 5 best of 2006 (others being black dahlia, miami vice, volver and the depahted). so why wasn't it nominated for best picture?

oh and babel sucks

A lot of the year has gone already, and a lot of nice stuff has already occured.

Pan's Labyrinth was alright, though there wasn't nearly enough actual labyrinth for my liking.

"pan's labyrinth was one of the 5 best of 2006 (others being black dahlia, miami vice, volver and the depahted)"

Black Dahlia? Miami Vice? Presumably this is a top-5 list from someone who only saw 5 films in 2006?

Well they must have seen at least 6 if they saw enough of Babel to say that it "sucked".

Pan's = 10/10
Miami Vice = 1/10
The Departed = 10/10
The Black Dahlia = 1/10
Volver = 10/10
Babel = 1/10

Fun.

And do you rate any films any numbers aside from 10/10 or 1/10?

I loved Pan's Labyrinth. It is my pick for best of 2006 too. One of the most beautiful fairytales-related films, probably the most beautiful with A.I..

Blimey you appear to have had a ton of horrid/nasty/sweary comments judging by the removals here!

For what its worth, belatedly, I thought Pan was one of the best films of last year. I loved it. Should have had more nominations and awards for sure. I have the promo leaflet pinned to my noticeboard in front of me as I type. Mesmerising indeed.
