Oh! Harsh! And completely uncalled for. I'm incredibly biased when it comes to The Winslet, mind you. Who made that picture? I am to hunt them down and destroy them.
If the person who made that second FYC were really passionate about bashing Winslet, they would have done a better Photoshop job.
Anyways, Winslet was one of the few redeeming features of Little Children, and she'd be my #3 pick for Actress this year. Definitely crossing my fingers for a nomination - I pray it happens.
Hmm, tricky. On the one hand, I find that for every Winslet performance I've enjoyed - Quills, for instance, or Finding Neverland - there's one I've had real issues with - Titanic, or Romance and Cigarettes. So technically she averages out for me as being, well, average.
On the other hand, though, she's really hot. Hence the dilemma - it's pitting my critical integrity directly against my inherent shallow nature, and frankly, I don't think my critical integrity is really up to the task.
So I guess I'll pick FYC 1 over FYC 2, but I'll be a little ashamed of doing so.
You're obviously looking in the wrong place for good Winslet performances. Watch Heavenly Creatures, Sense and Sensibility, Jude, Holy Smoke!, Iris and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and then try to tell us that Winslet is "average".
Aaaah. Should've realised. IMDb poster are hi-larious. My latest entry has a link to one from someone who believes that she is having an affair with Warren Beatty. And I don't think she's just trying to trick people, but is in fact an actual crazy person. Delicious.

I have yet to see "Little Children" but it will be pretty hard to sway me towards FYC 2.
Paul Haines,

Lol, yep Ali. Even I could do a better Photoshop job of that!
And Simon, I got it from an IMDb thread on Oscar Buzz.
