Intolerable Cruelty? Just the writing, or did you actually like the film?

Oh, and check your e-mail, just in case you never do or something.

I'm not mad! Ha!

Anyway, from what I'm willing to give away to FIST...

Lost in Translation takes film, director (tonal modulation), script (breezy lack of irony), lead performance (his dying energy and renewed spirit against his former life), editing (Flack's holds on dialogue exchanges, her control of time, and her creative local cutting like Scarjo jumpcuts). Elephant takes cinematography (Savides' long lenses and natural light) and sound (rumblings specific to character). That's 7 of the 11 in progress awards that I'll hint at for now.

Should be enough. Lost in Translation is probably my least favourite... haven't given that much thought. And there are so many I need to rewatch, from Swimming Pool to The Ultimate (agreed on that screenplay nod).

Why has everybody given Finding Nemo best music? Its like common knowledge that ROTK had the best music ever.

Emma said...

Um, carter, I disagree, and I'm just going to leave it there.

OK, what do I know? Just a little inside joke with a couple of people who said Tom McCarthy was good at multitasking. Which he is.

And yup, that's Michelle. Making waves before even Brokeback.
